U0 = Rated voltage to earth: 26 kV
U = Rated voltage between conductors: 35 kV
Um = Maximum system voltage: 40.5 kV

3. Cable Construction

Conductor
Copper, stranded circular/sector, Class 2 or Class 5 (IEC 60228).
Optional tinned copper for enhanced corrosion resistance.

Conductor Screen
Extruded semi-conductive compound.

Insulation
XLPE (Cross-linked Polyethylene), dry-cured, thickness ≈ 8.0 mm.

Insulation Screen
Extruded semi-conductive compound + copper tape/wires.

Metallic Screen
Copper wire/tape, ensuring short-circuit fault current carrying capacity.

Bedding / Filler
Extruded PVC or LSZH compound.

Armour (optional)
Steel tape armour (STA) or steel wire armour (SWA), depending on installation conditions.

Outer Sheath
PVC or LSZH (flame retardant, halogen-free, low smoke).
