Microcrystalline wax is mainly used in candle making to enhance texture and combustion performance, and its different types (soft wax, hard wax, adhesive wax) are suitable for different scenarios:
Soft wax application
Shaping and Decoration: Soft wax has a low melting point (about 60-90 ℃) and a soft texture, making it suitable for making candles that require shaping or decoration, such as three-dimensional shapes or petal inlay. ‌
Adhesive: often mixed with paraffin wax to enhance the adhesion of candles and reduce cup detachment. ‌
Hard wax application
Stability: Hard wax has a high melting point (about 88-90 ℃), suitable for making large candles or sculpture candles, and has a longer burning time. ‌
Adhesive wax and bonding wax
Fixed decoration: Paste wax is used to fix decorative objects such as petals and beads on the surface of candles, while adhesive wax is used for internal structural reinforcement.
